Jason and Nick graduate

Ah, springtime is the time for graduations, and Jason and Nick are all smiles at the closing of their ceremony.  It was held on the campus of Utah Valley University in the spacious Events Center.

Many high schools use this facility for graduations, and such was the case for Springville High.

While waiting for the ceremony to begin, I found myself a little restless, so I decided to wander.  I ended up in an adjoining building that was so spacious that I actually began to wonder if I was getting lost.  Remembering Hansel and Gretel marking their path by tossing bread crumbs, I started to take mental notes of things so that I could find my way back to the Events Center.

Yeah, just a few miles from the famous BYU, this place is big, like a University ought to be.  I found out later that over 33,000 students are enrolled here.

Anyway - back to the graduation.  The speeches were concise and moralistic, as they ought to be, and the music was fantastic.  It was provided by the Springville High Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Tsugawa.  The music they produced was outstanding.

Afterwards we met the graduates in front of the Events Center for photos.  There were lots of opportunities for smiles as hundred of cameras were clicking.

Grandma Zucc and I were very pleased, proud, excited etc. because our twins were about to set foot into the future.  So the question always come up, "What would you do if you had to do it all over again?"

Our answer is that we most likely would do it exactly the same way.  However If we knew then what we know now, we would make a lot of changes.

I was impressed by the number of Polynesian people there - so colorful - so friendly - so generous.

The boys don't know how lucky they are to have such a caring Mother.

Afterward, the family returned to Springville to have a traditional graduation dinner at Joe Bandidos
