Pictures you would find in a text book

This is the first time Rachel has held a violin.  Notice how natural the arm position appears.

Even when she is drawing the bow across the lower strings, the arm is raised to the proper height.

These are the kind of pictures you would find in a text book.

With pride we watched!

Greg's court of Honor

We gathered in the cultural hall of the church, where this ceremony took place, and with pride we watched as the honor badge of Eagle was presented to our oldest grandson.

Mike has always been good at offering advice; so he was asked to give the introductory speech.

After a variety of speakers, Greg was presented the award by a scout leader -  Notice the left-handed scout hand shake.  This is scouting tradition.

The Scout Law:

A scout is:
  • Trustworthy
  • Loyal
  • Helpful
  • Friendly
  • Courteous
  • Kind
  • Obedient
  • Cheerful
  • Thrifty
  • Brave
  • Clean
  • Reverent

The parents were called up to stand with Greg during the presentation.

The next photos are self explanatory - Enjoy!

After all the accolades, Springville's newest Eagle was invited to give an acceptance speech, which he did with eloquence.

He was then escorted to the "Eagle's Nest," where he was warmly greeted by other Eagles.

To sit in the "Eagle's nest" is an honor that only a few of us ever obtain.

Afterwards a reception was held in his honor.

An american flag refreshment table.

Proud Grandparents, indeed!

We are all in smiles after the concert.

I hope they make a recording!
