And this is what they did last Wednesday evening, on a nice but little chilly overcast day in Lone Peak Park. The opposition was called the Red Roses. Rachel was at her best, scoring a spectacular goal in the second half. A team mate kicked the ball over the heads of all the players and it landed just in front of Rachel, who skillfully moved the ball down the middle of the field. The only opposition was the goalie, who didn't stand a chance of stopping a determined Rachel from scoring.
Every time I go to one of these games, I am amazed at how much energy these kids display on the field. They all love the game of soccer. Another thing that impressed me about last Wednesday's game was the good sportsmanship displayed by the parents of both teams. What a great activity to build community pride! With Rachel's height and stride, she ought to be a superstar in "not to distant" future.
Other happy family members were at the game.

I love our Sparkling Grape. She's pretty awesome!
Sparkling Grapes, Red Roses? Love it! I read this to Dayle and he thought it would be more soccer appropriate if they were called the Crushing Grapes, haha. Great job Rachel, you are quite a great soccer player. Awesome pictures!
